200 hr Yin Fusion Teacher Training
With Carol Murphy & Claire Halpin
Nenagh, Tipperary
January 2026 - November 2026
Welcome to our 200-Hour Yin Fusion Yoga Teacher Training in Tipperary, a comprehensive program that integrates the healing modalities of Yin and Restorative Yoga with the dynamic principles of Slow Flow. This training is designed to provide a solid foundation in asana practice while incorporating Ayurveda, Women’s Health, Pranayama, Energy Medicine, and Trauma-Sensitive Yoga to offer a holistic approach to yoga teaching and personal practice.
The training combines 100 hours of Yin and Restorative with 40 hours of Slow Flow to serve as the asana foundation of the training. This foundation will then be used to build other modules, such as Breath Coach, Yoga and Women’s Health (or Soma Yoga Therapy for men), Energy Medicine, and Heal, Trauma Sensitive Yoga.
TRAINING MODULES
-
The training opens with two weekends dedicated to Slow Flow — a gentle, holistic style of vinyasa inspired by Viniyoga. This accessible, breath-led practice integrates beautifully with Yin and Restorative Yoga, and forms the asana foundation for the Ayurveda & Women’s Health, Breath Coach, Energy Medicine, and Heal modules within the training.
Slow Flow Foundations offers teachers the opportunity to build confidence in teaching mindful, breath-centered flow. Rooted in the principles of Vinyasa Krama — a systematic, intelligent approach to yoga that emphasises progressive sequencing — this style guides practitioners from simple to more complex postures in a deliberate, step-by-step way, always anchored by the breath.
The word “Vinyasa” means mindful placement, and “Krama” means step or sequence. Together, they describe a practice that is both adaptable and therapeutic, honouring the individual needs of each student while cultivating strength, mobility, and inner awareness.
-
This section of the training offers a beautiful winter wind-down and equips you with everything you need to confidently teach both Yin and Restorative Yoga. It’s an opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and immerse yourself in the art of conscious rest, deep release, and inner stillness.
Through the practice of Yin Yoga, you’ll explore long-held, floor-based postures that gently target the body’s deeper connective tissues — improving mobility, releasing tension, and supporting energetic balance.
In Restorative Yoga, you’ll learn to skillfully guide your students into a state of profound relaxation and nervous system regulation. Using supportive props and mindful sequencing, you’ll discover how to create nurturing spaces that invite deep physical, emotional, and mental restoration.
-
This empowering training dives deeply into Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine in the context of Women’s Health, exploring the menstrual cycle, menopause, and the unique needs of women at every life stage. We’ll also build on some of the foundational TCM and Ayurvedic principles introduced in the Yin and Restorative Yoga training, expanding their application specifically for hormonal health and women’s wellbeing.
You’ll gain practical tools to balance your hormones, understand common imbalances, and nurture your health in alignment with your unique constitution. This training offers more than symptom management — it’s an invitation to reclaim your sovereignty, release unconscious anxieties, and step into greater confidence and inner wisdom.
Both Ayurveda and TCM provide profound insights into supporting hormonal balance through diet, lifestyle, and daily practices. You’ll learn how to ease symptoms, reduce HPO-axis stress, and cultivate a healthier, more compassionate relationship with your cycle and life transitions.
This module is an ideal addition for Yin and Restorative Yoga teachers wishing to deepen their therapeutic knowledge, guide women’s circles, and support others in navigating their cyclical nature with grace, ease, and empowerment.
-
In this module, you’ll unlock the transformative power of breath to support physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Blending modern science with ancient yogic wisdom, this training offers an in-depth exploration of breath as a therapeutic tool for healing, stress management, and nervous system regulation.
You’ll learn how to consciously regulate your own nervous system and reset habitual breathing patterns using accessible, evidence-based techniques. The module also covers how to observe and assess the breath in others, gathering valuable insights into their physical, mental, and emotional states, and how to develop personalised breath practices to support their specific needs.
This module weaves together the science of breath, polyvagal theory, and the art of pranayama, offering both theoretical understanding and hands-on application. Whether you’re deepening your personal practice or preparing to guide others, you’ll gain practical skills for working with the breath to address stress, anxiety, trauma, and to build emotional resilience.
This foundational training also complements and builds on the practices explored in the Yin and Restorative Yoga modules, offering additional tools for nervous system care and self-regulation.
-
This module offers a deep dive into the world of subtle body energetics and their connection to physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing, through the lens of Slow Flow Vinyasa Krama Therapy. Rooted in the traditional teachings of Sri T. Krishnamacharya, this practice explores the art of mindful movement, breath, and alignment with a therapeutic, person-centred focus.
You’ll learn to work with Vinyasa Krama, a systematic and intelligent approach to sequencing where each step is deliberately placed to support a safe and effective practice. The module explores this method in relation to subtle energy systems — including the vayus (vital energy currents), doshas (constitutional types), gunas (mental qualities), and chakras (psycho-energetic centres).
We’ll explore how to apply this knowledge in practical ways, offering therapeutic sequencing and adaptations for a variety of health conditions such as autoimmune issues, cancer, heart disease, and other systemic imbalances. By integrating movement, breath, and energetics, you’ll gain the skills to create practices that support holistic healing, emotional resilience, and energetic balance.
This module complements the Slow Flow Foundations, Yin, and Restorative trainings within the 200-hour course, expanding your understanding of yoga as a therapeutic, energetically-informed practice.
-
This module offers a comprehensive introduction to supporting students navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression. You’ll explore the effects of trauma on the body, mind, and nervous system, and learn how to safely hold space for healing through integrative, embodied practices.
Combining somatic awareness, breathwork, gentle movement, and mindfulness techniques, this training equips you with practical tools to help students reconnect with a sense of safety, agency, and emotional resilience. Whether for group classes or one-to-one sessions, you’ll gain skills to guide others toward balance and empowerment through compassionate, trauma-aware teaching.
-
You will also receive 5-10 hours (as needed) of dedicated business and teaching mentorship via Zoom.** These live sessions are designed to support you throughout your training journey and as you step into teaching professionally.
Mentorship topics will include space to discuss any personal or teaching-related issues that emerge during the training, as well as guidance in preparing for your final teaching assessment.
On the business side, we’ll cover essential topics such as branding, pricing your offerings, teaching options (studio, private, online, workshops, and retreats), building and sustaining a student base, and navigating social media. You’ll also gain practical advice on the day-to-day realities of working as a modern yoga professional — from managing finances and legalities to creating a work-life balance that supports your wellbeing.
This mentorship element ensures you feel supported, resourced, and confident both on and off the mat.

Carol Murphy
Hello! I’m Carol Murphy, founder and lead trainer at Green Lotus Yoga, where I’ve been teaching yoga and training yoga teachers since 2006, in Ireland, Spain, Morocco, India, South Africa, the U.S and the U.K. With over 1,000 graduates from Ireland and beyond, my approach blends decades of experience in Vinyasa, anatomy, and yoga therapy with a passion for embodied, healing-based practice.
Originally trained in Iyengar and Ashtanga, I’ve always loved alignment-based Vinyasa. But over time, my focus expanded to include the restorative and therapeutic dimensions of yoga. This inspired the creation of Yin Fusion. My studies include Neuromuscular Therapy, Functional Mobility (FRC®), and most recently, an 800-hour IAYT Yoga Therapy Certification with Soul of Yoga, deepening my understanding of trauma, Ayurveda, somatics, mental health, and subtle anatomy. I’ve also studied Yin Yoga with Josh Summers, TCM and Women’s Health with Yoga Medicine, and energy-based practices such as Tantra and Kundalini Trance Dance.
