Kids Yoga & Mindfullness
Teaching Yoga and Mindfulness to kids is incredibly rewarding. Although based on the traditional practice of Yoga, Kids yoga is adapted to make it fun and engaging for children while retaining all the good things that make Yoga so beneficial.
The benefits of Yoga & Mindfulness for Kids are well supported, whereby Yoga has been shown to improve both physical and mental health in school-age children. Yoga improves balance, strength, endurance, and aerobic capacity in children.Yoga and mindfulness offer psychological benefits for children as well. Yoga can improve focus, memory, self-esteem, academic performance, and classroom behaviour, and can even reduce anxiety and stress in children.
Classes include breathwork, creative movements, yoga games, storytelling, mindful crafts and much more depending on the class theme. Children are encouraged and supported to develop personal qualities such as respect, compassion, bravery, kindness etc. Classes are non-competitive. We practise yoga to have fun, making it inclusive for all children.
