Candlelight Yin Yoga Workshop

This workshop will allow you to immerse yourself in breath, relaxation, meditation and movement. Yin yoga is a simple practice, but not necessarily easy, as it delves into our body targeting our deepest muscles and our connective tissues. It is a quiet practice that allows us to be present and invites deeper inward exploration.

The long holds in Yin give the muscles, joints and tissues in the body the opportunity to relax deeply. Props are used to support your body allowing you to focus on breathing, meditation and being present. This workshop is an excellent complement to more active practices and an opportunity to de stress. Yin yoga is also suitable for beginners.

What is Yin Yoga?

Yin Yoga complements our more active ‘yang’ styles of yoga, exercise and lifestyle by encouraging us to slow down and listen to the body and breath to get more familiar with quiet and stillness. Floor based poses are held for 5 – 10 minutes, giving us time to really soak up the benefits of Yin yoga.

This subtle but gently challenging practice builds flexibility and strength in the joints, fascia and dense connective tissues of the body while cultivating patience; tolerance and self-awareness.
